Spring 2001 Season

Event DescriptionThe Monroe Twp. Roller Hockey League has announced that open registration
has begun for our upcoming Spring 2001 season and is open to all Monroe Twp.
boys and girls ages 7 - 16 (as of 03/11/2001).
The deadline for registrations is Saturday, February 17, 2001.
There will be 3 conferences, separated by age groups (we will also place the students into the appropriate divisions based on their skill level).

The Spring 2001 season will be played on Sunday mornings/afternoons from March 11th through May 20th.
Times for all games will be scheduled between 10AM and 5PM.
The cost is $30 for the first player and $20 for each additional player per family (payable to Monroe Twp. Roller Hockey).
*** This season, we will be instituting a work bond, similar to the one
baseball has. The cost of this work bond is $15 per family.
Each family is asked to invest 4 hours of time to making
this activity successful. Prior to the start of the season, you will be given
a time sheet to document your investment to this activity. Upon completion of the
investment hours, you may turn in your signed time sheet to your child's coach.
That coach will then turn that sheet into the committee for a refund of the bond.
The following equipment is REQUIRED to be worn in order for your child(ren) to participate:
- Mouthpiece (goalies are an exception)
- A helmet with a full cage or full visor
- Hockey gloves
- Hockey shin guards
- Elbow pads
- Roller skates (in-line or quads)
- Hockey stick with wooden blade (shaft of stick may be wood, graphite, etc..., plastic sticks or blades are not allowed)
- Hockey shoulder pads
- athletic cup (boys only)
In order for the coaches to draft their teams and gain good knowledge of your
child's abilities, all NEW registrants (first time players) will be asked to come to the skills evaluation at the rink on Sunday, February 18th at 11AM (raindate will be Sunday, February 25th at 11AM).
The registration money will be collected by the coach of your child's team this year. Please be sure to write your confirmation number on your check. Also please be sure to hand in your registration fee to the coach PRIOR to the first game of the season. Failure to do so will make you child(ren) ineligible to participate until payment has been received.
